The Journey Behind J-I Music Records
J-I MUSIC RECORDS is an independent music record label founded by two close friends united by a shared passion for creating meaningful music. The label brings together Jay Mihiranga, a talented composer & music producer based in Sri Lanka, and Iqbal Khan (Ikkikan), a singer, composer, and music teacher based in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
Operating from their own studios, J-I MUSIC RECORDS is actively producing and releasing original music across major digital platforms including YouTube, TikTok, Spotify, Instagram, and Facebook. With a growing catalogue of soulful compositions, music arrangements, and direction for short films, the label is also actively involved in live performances and media productions, connecting audiences across borders through sound
